Increasing A Car's MPG....
There's great documentary that's called something like "Who killed The Electric Car" and describes how in the 70's or 80's California had a number of electric cars that ran on batteries. Apparently they were very efficient as well as popular, but the powers that be made sure that these perfectly good cars were rounded up and crushed. The "powers that be" included the oil industry, car industry...(these ultimately being the puppets of the banks) and of course the government (REAL puppets of the bankers).....Amongst other things this documentary described how an oil company had bought up the patents for the electric car's improved battery capacity. So there seems to me at least, forces involved in making motoring more expensive than need be.
Speaking to my fellow enthusiast Tom Hackett about this sort of thing, Tom told me an interesting story. Just after World War 2, his dad worked at Austin looking after engine, gear box problems etc that other engineers couldn't sort out. One of of the projects he was involved with was a means of injecting water vapour through the fuel system. The idea was that after the engine had warmed up the petrol/air mix was unnecessarily rich so a DILUTED PETROL/AIR mix might work just as efficiently. So along with petrol vapour and air there would be an injection of water vapour. Tom said that his dad said there was a doubling of the fuel efficiency for this system...but why haven't we heard any more ? Well, why do I find that surprising ! (Incidentally, many people report that their vehicle runs better in the ran - because of the increase of water vapour through the carburettor ? )
After discussing this Tom subsequently sent me a link for this:
http://journeytoforever.org/biofuel_library/ethanol_motherearth/me3.html which deals with the same idea.
I have just started experimenting putting acetone in my car after find this article on the net :
http://www.thebirdman.org/Index/Others/Others-Doc-BetterLiving/+Doc-BetterLiving-General&Msc/AcetoneInFuelIncreasesMileage.htm
..it's supposed to increase the vapourisation of petrol and so make it more efficient.

A Tale Of Two Batteries - Bedini Fan Motor Results
(See earlier blogs on fan motor kit) . So, to begin with we used the "grey" battery as the primary and the "black" battery as the one being charged. According to the manufacturer's labels the grey is 12v and 66 Amp hour and the black 12v and 45 Ah. The grey battery is the one we have worked on longer,"conditioned" being the one most originally "decrepit".The black battery was taken out of my old car before it was scrapped and was still a good battery. The difference in amp hour rating in the batteries is regrettable in terms of keeping things constant and just varying one thing at a time, but we live in the real world and don't have inexhaustible funds to buy identical batteries - perhaps later on :-)
So with the usual set up we took the following readings with the analogue multimeter. The accuracy allowed me to take voltage readings to the nearest 1/4 of a volt.
I tried to take readings every hour or so.

STARTED AGAIN WITH BATTERIES IN SAME POSITION but soon stopped.
SO, the lower amp hour battery only powered the fan for over a day.
Conclusion.
I was disappointed initially with the seemingly poor performance of the fan motor after swapping to the lower amp hour battery as the primary source. I was expecting a longer running time, EVEN ALLOWING FOR THE LOWER Ah , a proportionate running time might have been something like 45/66 x 5 days....very roughly three and "a bit " days instead of one day and "a bit" that we got.
Tom Hackett reminded me that it was the conditioned battery that had run the longest, and more to the point, proportionately longest( according to the Ah).
Tom, using his own Bedini motor has been working on two clapped out batteries of his own. More on this on a later blog, but after some discussion with him we once again had the sense of what all the different measurements (current, voltage, power, energy, work etc) mean in the real world. Tom said a small lamp attached to the batteries was somehow giving him a greater sense of the battery's "potential" for work than the voltage reading took. Tom's feeling is that something is "definitely going on " with the Bedini charged batteries. On the face of it the greater conditioned battery above worked harder than the less conditioned black battery. Drawing on Tom's observations here and elsewhere on the blog, we are seeing something in terms of battery conditioning, but what this means in terms of assessing "overunity", remains to be seen. For now we continue with the experimenting.

September 11 Attacks
Like most people who start blogging, I did so with a view to one subject. It's difficult to stick to your original remit when something of a truthful nature comes your way that MUST be spread as wide as possible. (Along with the below video, get yourself a copy of the "September Clues" video. )
A eureka moment : "The plane was attached to the pod - not the pod to the plane !"
All intelligent people when presented with the evidence of the September 11th attacks MUST acknowledge it was an inside job. Unfortunately MOST people are a combination of not being : 1) Intelligent enough or 2) Not caring enough and perhaps at some sub conscious level accepting the "sacrifice" of all the lives on that day to "justify" the subsequent militarism and economic consequences that impact on their own lives or 3) Not sufficiently informed....which this video may go some way correct.
