Tom Hackett came up with something interesting regarding the Bedini SSG circuit. Instead of the output going to a charging battery, it's going to an automotive coil which is firing a spark plug via an HT lead. AROUND the HT lead Tom has placed an induction coil. Why is this ?
Well, John Bedini has said that basically that "nature doesn't like closed loop systems.....IN ORDER TO USE THE CHARGING BATTERY TO SOMEHOW 'CLOSELOOP' (for want of a better description) THE SYSTEM YOU HAVE TO USE AN INVERTOR. I must say this confused me. In fact I emailed Anthony Craddock, the producer of the "Energy From The Vacuum" series of videos to ask about this, and he didn't know what John Bedini meant. For a few weeks I was under the illusion that even if you physically swapped the batteries and the CHARGING BATTERY became the PRIMARY BATTERY then the now PRIMARY BATTERY had to be connected via an invertor to the Bedini circuit - I WAS WRONG...
So, Tom's idea of the induction coil is a prototype invertor idea....(Incidentally Tom mentioned that he did try and connected the primary and charging batteries directly and sparks flew ! :-) ) that we believe Bedini alluded to.

Part Two
The difficulty with all this work is measurement. This is discussed at length on Part 15, "Seeking Overunity - Rosenthal Memoirs" of the Energy From The Vacuum series. Rosenthal mentions you can't just use an oscilloscope and that's that with regard to seeking overunity. We see his extensive measurement facilities and apparatus. Factor into this ,John Bedini's assertion that the radiantly charged batteries can't be measured meaningfully by conventional means and we find ourselves again asking: How we can demonstrate to ourselves "overunity" ?
....With this in mind, work in the near future for Tom Hackett and myself Simon Smith will involve: 1/Tom working on the invertor theme and 2/ Myself QUALITATIVELY (with some attempt at QUANTITATIVE measurement :-) ) running the fan motor kit and somehow ( :- ) ) assessing the (improved :-) ) state of the 12V car batteries.

Assembly/Disassembly Of Bedini Fan Motor Kit
OK, this, as is the nature of blogs, is not in the chronological order that someone trying to build the Bedini fan motor kit might necessarily appreciate. The reader is referred to previous blogs
1/ Drawing of components on matrix board
2/ The fan motor working
The below three videos will be boring to anyone who hasn't bought the fan kit, but might be a Godsend to those struggling with this project. Like many things in life the things we think may cause us problems don't and unseen things do cause problems. I might well have called this blog entry "Fiddling Around With The F***ing Circlip !"
Tom Hackett explains wiring very clearly to me, someone with not much "Hands On" common sense.
Part One
Part Two
Part Three
The Bedini fan kit together with schematics can be purchased from the Bedini website. Link on the right. My intention over the next few months is to source the same components and some other fan bought locally with the same project in mind - with me (Simon Smith) as an "Hands On " novice trying to put the thing together . I might say that I was shocked at having to pay £28 import tax on the Bedini fan kit

An Absolutely Brilliant Documentary About Money !
This blogsite's mission is to popularise and explore what Tom Bearden has described as "Energy From the Vacuum". If the only problem was the engineering then I believe that the world's energy challenges would have been solved a long time ago. It was the banker J P Morgan who castigated Nikola Tesla for tapping the earth's energy without having the means to "meter" it for consumer consumption. So, the story of this quest for accessing what nature freely give us has a component related to the politics and greed of a relatively few people.
What if there was an alternative to oil for energy ? How would that affect the currencies (especially the dollar) of the world ? The denominating of oil sales in dollars , the "petrodollar" is what keeps the value of the dollar high, and the reason for the umpteen American military bases around the world. Oil is the commodity that back the dollar, the same way gold used to.
The documentary I recommend to you is called the "Secret Of OZ" by William Still. Also known for his two part "Money Masters" documentaries. In it he shows how linking gold to a currency makes it liable to manipulation.(Perhaps the same could be said of oil ?). More importantly he describes how the governments of the west and elsewhere have been corrupted by their association with the debt based money system of the private bankers who live in the intestine of national government like parasitical worms. William Still's conclusion is that it's not what backs a currency that is important, but who controls the volume of currency !

Bedini Simplified School Girl Motor Discussion
Those who come to this page not having heard of John Bedini and "Radiant Energy" should first check out the Bedini website linked on the right. They should check out Tom Bearden's website also linked on the right. You should also consider getting at least the first DVD in the "Energy From The Vacuum Series" which will almost certainly explain the concepts better than us !
So what's the point of this blog then , with the clumsily shot video and awkward attempts at explanations of cutting edge technology ? The point is that it shows pretty ordinary but very interested people trying to bring this stuff down from the "top of the mountain". "If these fellas can do it", might be the sentiment, "so can we !". We are following in the footsteps of others and hopefully the path will in time become easier to travel along. We are just doing "our bit".
Tom Hackett and myself are discussing the so called Bedini "Simplified School Girl motor" that Tom built. John Bedini came up with the name in order, we suppose to make this technology more simple..."if a schoolgirl can put this motor together, then so can I..." As the weeks have gone by it's become clearer to me what we are attempting to do. The first blog entries are awkward and probably mystifying to the casual blog visitor. What I believe we are trying to do is to get the "radiant" energy from vacuum. It is our belief that this is the Heaviside component predicted by Maxwell's laws of electromagnetism but neglected by modern electrical engineers.
My current (no pun following) understanding is that we are trying to create an electrical dipole as a sort of "gate" to the convergent/radiant/negative energy. Our aim is to keep this gate open long enough to get this energy but not too long to allow a current to flow. We are trying to short circuit (and I don't know whether I'm using the term literally or as a figure of speech) the closed loop circuit that we use in every day lives but Tom Bearden and John Bedini criticise. In the modern world electricity is generated by burning fossil fuels (probably not from fossils - that's a story for another day :-) ) that turn a dynamo creating dipole allowing a current to flow destroying the dipole which in turn necessitates more "fossil" fuel burning...According to Tom Bearden modern electrical engineering is wrong in saying that you get a conversion of mechanical work into electrical work in the traditional closed loop hydroelectric dam (for example) circuit. The energy Bearden asserts, citing many other, comes from vacuum. It is the dipole itself that allows this channeling of energy, the Heaviside component to enter the circuit. Establishment pundits might say "what about the contravention of first law of dynamics". Tom Bearden's retort is simple: " A windmill says to to heck with the first law of dynamics !". We claim not to create energy but access what's abundantly there. The idea with the Bedini circuit is to not use a traditional closed loop circuit but to continually tap into the continuous series of dipoles created by the Bedini motor/circuitry.
The video is in four parts. The last part is a little jerky but is important because it show the discrepancy between output from the SSG on a meter reading and on an oscilloscope .

Blog Name Change
The blog has been changed from "Energy From The Vacuum For Idiots" to "Overunity For Those Who Travel In The Slow Lane"
Some More Notes After Watching Bedini DVDs....
Been watching John Bedini explaining things to the camera crew and others again. Learnt another couple of things of interest:
You can't just flip the charging batteries and primary batteries around ! Apparently radiant/negative energy charged batteries have different properties. Once again it's reiterated that as batteries are charged with the Bedini circuitry that COOL down, drawing IN radiant/negative energy . Conventional charging would mean the battery HEATED up. HOWEVER you can still use the Bedini charged batteries to do the usual lighting of bulbs and driving of garden equipment etc...
John Bedini mentions that in order to flip the batteries you would have to use an invertor....
Touching upon the overunity aspects. Bedini mentions, and citing Bearden, that it is difficult to measure the overunity features because of negative energies non conventional properties. HOWEVER the charged batteries do apparently RUN LONGER with negative energy and the charging process can remove the sulphation that conventional charging won't ! So whilst I very much look forward to seeing how the oscilloscope views the various Bedini circuits we have, in terms of SHOWING something different from normal is happening we will need to demonstrate to ourselves that the negative energy charged batteries run longer in their usual applications. (Bedini mentions that a golf cart ran for 2 1/2 hours instead of the usual 1 hour )
One more thing. We see the Bedini-Cole motor, presumably a predecessor of the later Bedini monopole motors. This has a closed loop circuit. John Bedini show that the BACK EMF necessarily won't be enough to charge the secondary/charging battery. (BACK EMF apparently is what appears on the US patents with respect to the Bedini stuff, BUT BACK EMF apparently the only wording accepted by the patent people.) JB converts to the known monpole open loop circuit in front of camera and show the radiant spike charging the secondary battery. He says that "NATURE ONLY LIKES THE OPEN LOOP SYSTEM".
So a summary of what I've learnt: You can't easily flip the batteries, easily test over unity or try and be clever and configure a closed loop circuit, BUT you can observe the non conventional COOLING as the batteries are charged and observe that in their everyday operations, the negative energy charged batteries RUN LONGER and SULPHATION IS REMOVED !
(Just as an interesting aside, and some sense of the circuitry pulling energy in from the vacuum, Bedini mentions how when you have a full moon, the motors work at different speeds...I found that an interesting observation..)

Theory And Knowledge Working Together....
Just a few thinking out aloud thoughts....Just watched several of the "Energy From The Vacuum" DVDs again and jotted down a couple of notes a little later, disjointed perhaps, but striking a chord with me.... After struggling with the experimental side for a little bit, I realised I'd forgotten the very very small bit of theory that goes with the concept of "Energy From The Vacuum". ( Must mention that earlier in the year I read Tom Bearden's book of the same name - phew, he's clever - but I hardly understood a thing -well some things - out of shear bloody mindedness I read the whole thing but for large parts it was like trying to understand sociology by reading a telephone directory. In any case one of my own mini goals is to read Bearden's book again in the near future. I set myself the task of twenty pages a day...
Some disjointed jottings based on my DVD (1,2 and 5) watching :
In an overunity/Bedini circuit the idea is to set up a potential and "get" the radiant energy ("Heaviside component" (?)) before the current flows. The current in a conventional circuit apparently follows Lorenz or (is it Lorentz) , "symmetrical regauging". This is what destroys the dipole and is the basis of electrical engineering since the the late 19th century - the so called closed loop circuit. (It occurs to me in a very rare thought of imaginative thinking on my part, that the word "circuit" necessarily implies "closed loop" - think" racing circuit" etc)
Evidently Heaviside following on from Maxwell realised that the "divergent" energy, viz that goes through the wire is only one trillionth (Bearden) that of the overall energy associated with the electromagnetic dipole. The non diverged component, viz the "Heaviside component" is the "Radiant" or "Negative" energy that Bedini speaks of with respect to his motors, and that which he captures with his non conventional circuitry.
Tom Bearden explained that in a conventional circuit the impedance causes component to heat up, this "divergent energy" is trying to get back to the environment....whereas the "radiant"/"negative"/"convergent"/"curled" (?) energy is trying to get into the circuit....THIS explains the cooling rather that the heating with a conventional circuit...and gives some sort of empirical evidence that something out of the ordinary is happening. GREATER impedance apparently allows more negative energy to enter the system. He goes on to say because of its "convergent" nature the charging of batteries with the Bedini motor could be explosive (!) if the charging batteries were charged with the power output from a conventional arrangement.
Below is a sketch a diagram described on DVD Part 5. The DC source on the left is potentialised by the switch on the left closing. BEFORE current flows ! and this would have to be very quick ! , energy is captured by some sort of coil arrangement in the centre. The coil in the centre is made of 98 % iron and 2 % aluminum - apparently very very expensive to make/get. This alloy delays the current by 1 ms. The speaker referred to it as "relaxation time". After the switch is closed the "coil arrangement" discharges to the load on the right.
This whole operation occurs very quickly. Below the switches are a capacitor and switching circuitry. This was described as a "DC to DC Converter" . I have no idea if this is just a theoretical concept at present or is waiting to be made. I would like to relate this to the Bedini circuitry if someone would be kind enough to point out the differences or/and commonalities

Viewing the videos again, I was again struck by Tom Bearden's kindness to the Establishment in terms of saying that various government bodies were reluctant to explore new technology, to bridge the gap as he says between what is known in Theoretical Physics Dept and can therefore be taken across the campus to the Electrical Engineering Dept. He put this down to the inertia of the older scientists. In Fact career "scientists" - possibly an oxymoron - can only work as Tom says on what projects money is given to them for. I suspect he would be less kind to the Establishment off camera, because there is no doubt in my mind that Western government may well be able to keep the lid on this stuff to preserve the existing power structure, BUT can they control the Chinese or Russian researchers ?

Drawing Of Components Laid Out For Fan Kit
This is for the fella who asked for more information on the youtube video. This is how Tom laid out the components on the matrix board. Of course the circuit diagram to accompany this is with the kit. (Personally as someone who is very new to electronics and the hands on experience, I would find this useful myself...) The matrix board as drawn is of course seen in the youtube videos
You mentioned that the fan motor wasn't working for yourself. Well it's either this bit , ie the circuitry part or the disassembly and reassembly of the fan itself with the correct wiring.....I sit and watched while Tom soldered the matrix/circuit board part within half an hour or so. The fan disassembly and reassembly was the hard bit. Tom had to make a little gadget for replacing the circlip on the fan motor itself. Very fiddly it was too !!
In a few weeks time we'll take apart the fan motor again and try and indicate the how Tom did the wiring. I hadn't appreciated when I bought the fan that it was a proprietary product whose inner workings had to be rejigged, ie the circuit board part of it disconnected - BUT still used as a mechanical spacer...more on this in few weeks, including the little gadget Tom Hackett made for the circlip fiddling around on the fan motor...
........................
Next week Tom is taking order of an oscilloscope. We need this to measure stuff for the SSG motor and hopefully we will then have the credentials to join the Bedini SSG research group ......
As per usual, constructive comments are very welcome....
